How to Apply – Dry Application

Dry Application Instructions For Your Decal

Prior to installation, be sure to use the following tools:

Application tool (Plastic squeegee, plastic putty knife, or firm credit card)

Step 1

Choose your location and thoroughly clean the area with a mild soap and water or a foaming glass cleaner (ie. Sprayway), then finish cleaning using a 70% isopropyl rubbing alcohol. Do not use Windex or similar window cleaning products with ammonia because it will leave a residue behind that prevents the sticker from adhering to the surface. Make sure the surface is completely dry and contaminants are removed.

Step 2

Prepare the decal for application by firmly rubbing a squeegee or credit card at an angle, pulling across the transfer tape in a backwards motion – front side first back side last. This helps the application tape to adhere to the vinyl and removes any bubbles that may have appeared.

Step 3

Starting at a corner SLOWLY peel the paper backing off the decal and transfer tape. If the vinyl sticks to the paper backing, slowly return the paper backing onto the application tape and repeat Step 2, but on the paper backing side instead of the transfer tape side.

Step 4

Slowly lower the sticker onto the clean surface and go over the design firmly with a plastic squeegee, credit card, or plastic putty knife that is 3 inches or wider (available at your local hardware store).

Step 5

Starting at a corner slowly peel the clear transfer tape off at an angle to the opposite corner. Be careful not to pull the vinyl design off the surface. If the design pulls away from the surface, return the clear application over the vinyl design and repeat Step 4.

You’re done… enjoy!

* Any air bubbles that remain can be poked with a pin and removed by pushing the air towards the hole.
* The recommended temperature for applying graphics is above 50°F. For best results do not apply a decal in extreme hot or cold temperatures.
